Hi everybody thanks for stopping by my website!!! This is really exciting for me to have a way to interact with all of you. I think it is important to give you a glimpse inside my life and learn the latest about what is going on with me. Whether you want to talk about softball, Michigan, Team USA, my camps or anything else -- I really like basketball, too! -- please leave me a message on the Contact page or hit the "plus" sign in the bottom righthand corner to "Ask Chiddy." When I was growing up, I had tons of questions about playing softball in college and how to further my young career. I couldn't always find the right place to ask those questions, but I'm glad you've found my page so please ask away! Every question that's important to you is important to me!

About Me

My name is Amanda Chidester, some people are surprised to know I have a first name because I've been called "Chiddy" for as long as I can remember. I am from Allen Park, Michigan, and play softball for Team USA. It's an honor to wear red, white and blue! I'm blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life who helped me get where I am today.

I played softball at the University of Michigan and I am proud to be a Wolverine. I graduated with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health.

Growing up in Allen Park I was always playing sports and gravitated to basketball and softball. When I had the opportunity to play softball collegiately at Michigan I went for it and a I loved it!

I have a fantastic and supportive family. I try to spend as much time with them as possible when I'm not on the road for softball. Check out the "Family Tab" above to meet them!

When I do have free time, I love cooking - just ask my roommates, I cook for them all the time. I'm always looking up new recipes and checking out new foods. If you have a good recipe, let me know (but make sure it's healthy!!).

My dog is awesome, his name is Mac and he's probably the coolest dog in the world (the second-coolest dog is Kooper, my parents' dog). We have a blast together and I'm always trying to get Mac to learn new tricks. Mac and Kooper are very photogenic and I take LOTS of pictures of them.

Which leads me nicely into another fun fact about me: I love taking pictures and shooting videos. You can find a lot of my pictures on Instagram. I get this passion from my dad. When I was younger, he always encouraged (forced) my brothers and I to take lots of pictures of everything we did. I am so glad now that he ingrained this habit into me because I've built such a special collection of memories that my friends and I cherish now and will cherish always.
